Disclosure: we make Fast AI, the app ranked first here. Everything we say about the other apps comes from their own App Store pages, and we say plainly where they beat us. Prices and ratings are from the US App Store on 8 October 2026.
Every app here lets you talk to AI models from more than one company without paying each company separately. They differ in which models they name, how they charge, and what else they pack in: images, files, voice, search.
The ranking
- Fast AI: best simple app for switching between five model families.
- Poe: best for the widest choice of models and bots.
- ChatOn: best for current models plus images and video from photos.
- Chat AI: Ask Agent Anything: best if you want a lifetime purchase.
- Nova: best for Word and Excel files.
- Genie: best for chat, images and PDFs together.
- ChatHub: best for privacy.
Why Fast AI is #1
- Models from five companies in one chat: OpenAI, Google, Anthropic, xAI and DeepSeek.
- You switch model whenever you like, in the same conversation.
- Web search when you need current information, and answers read aloud.
- A monthly plan ($9.99 in the US). Most apps here push weekly plans.
- One job, done simply: no image tools, characters or upsells in the way of the chat.

Model names are what each developer lists on its App Store page; some pages lag behind the app. Prices are the in-app purchases the App Store shows, which can be incomplete. Ratings are from Apple's public lookup API on 8 October 2026.
1. Fast AI: the simple one
Fast AI puts models from OpenAI, Google (Gemini), Anthropic (Claude), xAI (Grok) and DeepSeek in one chat. You pick a model, ask, and switch whenever you like, in the same conversation: a fast one for quick questions, a stronger one for hard problems, or a second opinion on the same question. Web search is there for current information, and any answer can be read aloud. The interface is in English, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Japanese and Korean. We keep the models current on our side, so the app shows the latest names rather than a fixed list.
It is free to download, but chatting needs a subscription: $5.99 a week, $9.99 a month or $69.99 a year in the US.
Where others beat it: Fast AI does not make images or video, does not read PDFs or other files, and has no voice input. There is no free tier. Each subscription has a daily usage limit, and web search can be used only a few times a day. Genie and Nova are cheaper per year, and every app here has far more ratings than we do.
2. Poe: the most models
Made by Quora. Its page lists text models from OpenAI, Anthropic and Google next to image, video and voice models (FLUX, Ideogram, Stable Diffusion, Veo, Runway, ElevenLabs), and lets you build and share your own bots. Its plans are monthly, from $4.99 (Basic) to $19.99 (Plus). The model names on its page look older than what the app offers, so check inside the app. Choose it if you want the widest menu.
3. ChatOn: current models, plus pictures and clips
ChatOn names current models (GPT-5, Gemini 3.5, Claude Sonnet 5, Sonar), and adds image generation, short videos from photos, web search and PDF reading. It sells mostly weekly plans, with yearly options from $39.99. Its privacy label reads “Data Used to Track You”.
4. Chat AI: Ask Agent Anything: pay once
The most ratings of the multi-model apps here, and the longest model list on its page: GPT-6, Claude Opus 5, two Gemini models, Grok 4.7, DeepSeek V4 Pro and Perplexity. It reads PDF, TXT and DOCX files and takes voice. Its weekly plans are the most expensive here ($7.39 to $11.99), but it is the only one that sells a lifetime purchase ($39.99 or $69.99).
5. Nova: for office files
Nova names GPT-5.6, Gemini 3.6 Flash, Claude Opus 5, Kimi K3, Grok 4.5 and DeepSeek V4 Pro, makes images, searches the web, takes voice and reads Word and Excel files. Weekly plans start at $4.99 and yearly at $39.99.
6. Genie: chat, images and PDFs
Genie is one of the most popular apps of this kind. Its page does not name its models, but describes chat with web search and a Deep Search mode, image generation and editing, PDF and text reading, and voice. Yearly plans start at $39.99. Its privacy label reads “Data Used to Track You”.
7. ChatHub: the private one
The only app here whose privacy label reads “Data Not Collected”. It offers more than 20 models, with images and web search through plugins. It is also the most expensive ($24.99 a month for Pro) and has only a few dozen ratings.
Not on the list, and why
- ChatGPT: the official app is excellent, but it only offers OpenAI's models. Go from $8 a month, Plus $19.99.
- Perplexity: a search engine first, with cited sources, and models from several companies on paid plans. Choose it for research.
How to choose
- Just chat, several model families, a monthly plan: Fast AI.
- The biggest menu, including image and video models: Poe.
- Images and short videos in the same app: ChatOn or Genie.
- Pay once: Chat AI: Ask Agent Anything.
- Word and Excel files: Nova.
- No data collected: ChatHub.
Before paying, check two things on any of them: whether the plan you are offered is weekly (they often are, and add up), and whether the “unlimited” plan has a daily cap on the stronger models. If you want chat and images in one app, see the best AI apps for chat and image generation on iPhone.
Questions people ask
Which iPhone app lets me use GPT, Claude, Gemini and Grok in one place?
Several do: Fast AI, Poe, ChatOn, Chat AI: Ask Agent Anything, Nova, Genie and ChatHub. Fast AI (ours) is the simplest, with models from OpenAI, Google, Anthropic, xAI and DeepSeek in one chat and a monthly plan.
Is there a free multi-model AI chat app?
Most of these apps let you download them free but put the stronger models behind a subscription, often weekly. Fast AI has no free tier. Poe's cheapest plan is $4.99 a month.
Is a multi-model app cheaper than paying for ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini separately?
Usually yes: one subscription instead of three at about $20 each. The trade-off is a daily cap on the most expensive models, which official apps handle differently.
Are these apps made by OpenAI or Google?
No. They are independent apps that use those companies' models through their APIs. The official apps are ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Grok, each with one company's models.
